Using Primary Sources on the Web: This brief guide from the Reference and User Services Association (RUSA), a division of the American Library Association, is designed to provide students and researchers with information to help them evaluate the internet sources and the quality of primary materials that can be found online.

EBSCO Research Databases: Full text for periodicals covering general reference, business, health, education, general science, multicultural issues and much more. Includes full-text Consumer Reports articles.

Christian Resources: The Barna Group has been conducting and publishing faith statistics and articles in the United States for 30 years.

Resources by Concentration Area

Business and Human Rights Resource Center: The site does seek responses from companies to allegations of misconduct: thus ensuring that our coverage is balanced and encouraging companies to address concerns raised by civil society. This site is one of the fastest ways to find information about the exploitive practices of 4000 businesses worldwide, which would be difficult to locate by other means. Users can begin searching by company name, issue, country, or topic.

Accounting, Tax & Business Periodicals: [ProQuest Central] Information on accounting policies and standards, state and national tax legislation, corporate and individual taxation, compensation and pension plans, and corporate financial management, as well as profiles of accounting firms, CPAs, and management consulting firms.

ABI/INFORM Collection: [ProQuest Central] Information on company research (profiles / annual reports); market research (industry, market& amp; commodity reports), current business & economic conditions as well as identifying management techniques & corporate strategies.

Asian & European Business Collection: [ProQuest Central] Covers Asian (Eastern Hemisphere) business and financial information from key international publications including Far Eastern Economic Review, Asia week, and many more.

Criminal Justice

Criminal Justice Database: [ProQuest Central] Comprehensive collection of U.S. and international criminal justice journals including information for professionals in law enforcement, corrections administration, drug enforcement, rehabilitation, family law, and industrial security.

National Institute of Justice publications: Over 6000 documents, reports, and interviews either published by the National Institute of Justice or sponsored by them. There is a Topical Collections link at the left to narrow down to topics such as Community Policing, Crime Mapping, and Digital Forensics, among many others.

National Criminal Justice Reference Service Abstracts Database: The NCJRS Abstracts Database contains SUMMARIES (not full articles) of the more than 195,000 criminal justice, juvenile justice, and substance abuse resources housed in the NCJRS Library collection

WEX Cornell Law Dictionary: Wex is a free legal dictionary and encyclopedia sponsored and hosted by the Legal Information Institute at the Cornell Law School. Wex entries are collaboratively created and edited by legal experts.

Sourcebook of Criminal Justice Statistics online: Established in 1972, the National Criminal Justice Reference Service (NCJRS) is a federally funded resource offering justice and drug-related information to support research, policy, and program development worldwide.

National Archive of Criminal Justice Data: NACJD provides the following services to assist those using our data collections.

  • The identification of appropriate criminological and criminal justice data collections on specific topics.
  • Custom subsetting of selected data files through our online Survey Documentation and Analysis.
