Central Baptist College, accredited by the Higher Learning Commission, is setting up a course location at Champion Christian College in Hot Springs, Ark.
The course location was approved by the CBC Board of Trustees at its June 2015 meeting. CBC, located in Conway, will be offering nine general education courses in the fall of 2015 in Hot Springs, and it will maintain and exercise authority over prerequisites for courses, rigor of courses, expectations for student learning, textbook selection, access to learning resources, and faculty qualifications for all courses taught at Champion Christian College.
CBC Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Gary McAllister said, “I am pleased that Champion Christian College has extended an invitation to conduct classes on its campus in Hot Springs. This is a great opportunity for Central Baptist College! We look forward to offering classes that integrate Christian faith and academic excellence in the Christ-centered environment that Champion provides.”
CBC is ranked as a “Best Regional College” in the South, according to the 2015 U.S. Best College rankings by U.S. News & World Report. CBC ranks 69th in the category of “Best Regional Colleges” among regional universities in the South.
CBC is a four-year, private, liberal arts college founded in 1952 by the Baptist Missionary Association of Arkansas.
