Dear Faith Foundation Supporter,
As the year 2016 comes to a close, we find ourselves very grateful for your faithfulness in being a Faith Foundation donor for the year. This has been a year of great progress for Champion, and we continue to press forward as an administration and student body spiritually, academically, and financially.
This is an exciting time at Champion Christian College, and we have so much to be thankful for including some new additions to our administration. Dr. Francis Grubbs, our executive vice president, retired at the end of our second semester. We are extremely indebted to his incredible contribution of his experience and wisdom in the areas of education and accreditation. He will be moving back to Nebraska to his favorite place in the world–his family farm. We are excited to announce our new executive vice president, Dr. Brad Moody. Dr. Moody served on the administration of National Park Community College here in Hot Springs, AR, for over twenty years. He brings to us valuable experience in accreditation. On your next visit to Champion, I would love to introduce you to Dr. Moody. I believe you will find him to be highly qualified and excited to join us in training Champions for Christ.
Here’s an update on our accreditation. At the end of the year, we are applying for application status with the TRACS accrediting agency. In April, they will be visiting our campus, and we will be finishing up our self-study and presenting that to them. By the spring of 2017, our goal is to reach candidacy status which will then make our college and student body eligible for academic scholarships, pell grants, and other benefits that will allow us to offer the students more opportunity to thrive here at Champion. As you know, this is a huge step for our small Bible college; but we are thrilled that we are almost there.
As I close this letter, I want to thank you once again for your support; and we would deeply appreciate your continued support for Champion. Champion’s mission is to train Champions for Christ, and we believe it is thriving through a new generation of young people who understand that learning and doing cannot be separated. This generation is hungry to make a difference, and Champion is committed to helping them, but we need your help.
Wishing you and your family a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
P.S. Please give as generously as you can to Champion Christian College’s Faith Foundation for Provision.
