How did you end up at Champion Christian College? I heard of Champion my sophomore year of high school, but I already had my heart set on a different school. I visited Champion for a high school volleyball tournament my senior year of high school and fell in love with the people at Champion. I really felt at home here.
When you first came here, what impressed you most about Champion? The friendliness of everyone is what really impressed me most about Champion. At first, I was scared being a freshman, but everyone made me feel very comfortable.
Who is your favorite teacher this year and why? Dr. Grubbs is probably my favorite teacher. His teaching is very deep but he teaches in a way that makes you understand.
Have you made a lot of new friends since being here at Champion? Absolutely! All of the friends I have made are friends that will last me a lifetime. That’s why it makes it so easy to stay here.
What has been your favorite memory since being here? I can’t think of a specific favorite memory, but all of the activities and time I’ve spent with my friends are memories that will last me a lifetime.
What’s your favorite part about Champion? My favorite part about Champion has been dorm life. I just love being able to live with all of my friends and having them all right there.
What is one financial tip you would give to someone getting ready to go to college? Save as much money as you can while attending college, but also remember to have fun and attend as many activities as you can because college is a once in a lifetime experience.
What would you say to a prospective Student considering Champion? The experiences and opportunities that you’ll get at Champion are like no other college. Gospel Light Baptist Church has allowed us to serve the Lord in the different ministries that they offer. Also, the closeness of the student body as well as the staff and faculty is something you can only experience here at Champion.
