How did you end up at Champion Baptist College?
I first heard about Champion Baptist College when I went to Teen Revolution the Summer of 2013. I met the Dean of Men-Matt Thistle and his wife. After talking with them I decided to pray about attending Champion and planned a visit to the College. I visited in October and loved it.
When you first came here, what impressed you most about Champion?
What impressed me most about the College was the genuine staff and faculty. I also fell in love with the bus route and the Church.
What were some of the reasons you chose to attend Champion?
I prayed God would show me where to go to college and He gave me a peace about Champion. I wanted to choose a place that would give me a good education and had many ministry opportunities.
Who is your favorite teacher this year and why?
Matt Thistle is my favorite teacher because he believes in his students and sees our potential.
Have you made a lot of new friends since being here at Champion?
I definitely have. Friends that have made me a better person and friends that I know I will have forever.
What is your favorite part about Champion?
My favorite part is the closeness of the student body and staff. I also like the ministry opportunities the church offers.
What has been your favorite memory since being here?
My favorite memory so far is traveling for tour this past summer. I was able to form close relationships with the other tour members as well as pastors from all over the country. I Also loved being able to travel to places that I’ve never been to.
What is one financial tip you would give to someone getting ready to go to college?
WORK! Be a good steward with your money and save as much as you can.
What would you say to a prospective student considering Champion?
Champion is a place where everyone is rooting for you. The Staff wants you to succeed and knows what is best for you. I also like the food!!
